Metro Line 3 to Enhance Urban Mobility

The Shivajinagar-Hinjawadi corridor, Pune Metro's Metro Line 3, will considerably enhance the urban mobility and daily commute experience of the city once it is completed. It will assist in alleviating the traffic congestion issues in various areas such as Hinjawadi, Baner, Balewadi, Shivajinagar, and others. The 23.3 km elevated corridor with 23 stations will offer a smooth, timely option for road transport, making it more convenient particularly for IT professionals and citizens. The opening date of the metro line was initially scheduled for March 2025, but the completion was delayed, and the full operations are now anticipated by March 2026.
